A long time sharkin/fishin buddy of mine just passed away last night after a 3 year bout with cancer(melanoma). At only 43 years old Iain Noble (aka pantyhose sharker) leaves behind a wife and 3 year old son. Most of you have never met Iain but Im sure you have seen him commenting on your posts. Iain was a great man and I will miss him dearly. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers

I'm sorry to hear about this loss, I remember his posts and he seemed like a good guy. I hope his family can bare the lose and I send my condolences.

Just an average fisherman.

Man that's sad. My prayers are with him, his family, and friends. 43 years old is just way too young.

How very sad. Everybody should go to a dermatologist to have a full body scan, done by sight & touch. Melanoma is one of the most easily cured cancers if it is caught early. My thoughts & prayers go out for his family & friends. I will miss his posts.

Sorry to hear about your friend Ryan. Our condolences to the Lain's family and friends.I remember Lain's reports they were often peppered with witty retorts when someone violated what he perceived to be a wildlife violation.Sad to see someone so young and full of life die so early .You never think melanoma can take someones life but folks it's important as Janet(fishergirl) mentioned to see a dermatoligist to check for melanoma specially if you're out in the sun often and have dark lumpy spots that don't go away.

LOL....yeah that was Iain....he was an antagoniser and sh!t-stirrer but with that sh!t-eating grin as he did it...He had the highest respect for sharks...as a diver and spearfisherman his motto was this "I dont eat them...they dont eat me"
We are having the Iain Noble Memorial Shark Fishing Trip this wknd in the Fort Myers area to commemorate the life of our dear friend...

That is terrible, I am very sorry to hear. Looks like he was a west coast shark fisherman judging by the sand in his shark pics. I also use that motto too..sharks haven't eaten me I don't eat them.

Very sorry to hear this Ryan. I only knew Lain from his posts but from what I could tell he was a great guy that enjoyed shark fishing as much as all of us. I hope his family gets through this. Wish I could make it out there with you guys this weekend.
