FEISTY HAMMER!!!Late post!!!

Finally hit the beach on thursday 3/26 tried to post on tapatalk but that didnt work!! Just now getting around to make a post.It was a thursday night me raymundo and shannon decided to hit the sand even though i had to work the next day i said the hell with it. We headed to the beach and the wind was blowing pretty hard from the s-se and the current was ripping. We spent alot of time getting baits out because of the wind and big surf but we managed to get all 5 rods out. So now starts the waiting game. As we are sitting around joking and talking we see shannons line slack and washed up on the beach so he reels it in and the bait is gone definetly was a hit but never heard or saw anything.. So after a few more hours of talking and joking some more my rod starts to bounce. Ray and I look at it and we thought it was the surf and then it did it again but this time pulled some drag. So we give it a second and then some more drag peels off, At this time i pick the rod up and the drag starts peeling off faster.. I let the fish take it and then i hit it with the running man and it was on..... And after short work on the Finnor 130(the first fish i caught on the new rod and reel , reel 1 year old and rod couple months)that im still getting use to. We land a feisty and pissed off little over 8ft hammer which we thought was a little bigger by the way it was fighting. But it felt good to finally hit the beach and land something after a really big dry spell!!!!First one of the year!!!
