FRIDAY I PICKED UP JOHNATHAN AND HEADED SOUTH.A COLD FRONT WAS PASSING BY AT THAT TIME. WE WENT SEVEN MILE SOUTH SIDE AND AND CAUGHT PINFISH. WE GOT FOUR NICE GROVERS. WE DID NOT SHARK FISH.SATURDAY HEADED TO NO NAME.THE JACKS WE WERE GOING OFF. WE CAUGHT 14 JACKS ON LIVE PIN FISH.WE CHUMED THE FLATS AND THE GIANT TARPON CAME IN TO FEED.THAT NIGHT THE WIND DIED AND SO DID WE. LETS GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. WENT TO NORTH SIDE SEVEN MILE TO GET SOME SLEEP. GOT UP IN THE MORNING AND HEADED TO LONG KEY.WE BROKE OUT THE YELLOW TUBE AND HEADED OUT ON THE NORTH SIDE.WE MUST OF HAD SEVEN HITS BUT CAUGHT NONE THE PERMIT WERE EVERWHERE. WENT TO THE BEACH AND CUT UP JACK AND CAUGHT BLUE CRAB THE PERMIT WOULD NOT BITE. WE HAD A OUT GOING TIDE WITH LOW TIDE AT SUN SET. I TOLD JOHNATHAN THAT WOULD BE THE GOLDEN HOUR AND IT WAS.THE TIDE SLOWED AND JOHNATHAN GOT HIT. A HAMMER CAME UP TO THE TOP.WHEN HE SET THE HOOK HE CHASED THE BAIT ON THE TOP OF THE WATER.I TOLD HIM LET IT RUN AND THE HAMMER CUT HIM OFF THE HAMMER WAS STILL THEIR GOING UP AND DOWN THE BRIDGE.JOHNATHAN PUT ON ANOTHER RIG AND TOSSED OUT A JACK. I HAD THE 9:0 OUT WITH A JACK HEAD.JOHNATHAN TOLD ME HE WAS ON. I WENT TO HELP HIM. THE FIGHT WAS ON. I TOLD JOHNATHAN I WAS GOING TO BRING IN MY REEL. MY CLIKER WAS GOING OUT WHEN I GOT THEIR. IT WAS A JEWFISH.;I GOT HIM TO THE TOP AND HE SPIT OUT THE BAIT.I RAN BACK TO HELP OUT HE WAS ON THE TRAP. WE DRAG THE TRAP AND THE SHARK IN. IT WAS NOT THE HAMMER IT WAS A BIG BULL/. WHAT A THRITY MIN. RIDE.

No hammer sightings at long key? do u get the cudas only on slack tide with the tubes? Its cody from rickenbacker we should make a trip down there these next couple weeks. I had a hammer come up and eat my 200lb jewfish at long key a couple weeks ago. and i got a wierd question have you ever caught like a nice 10-20 pound amberjack at long key?
THE TUBE'S ARE ONLY GOOD ON IN COMING TIDE AT LONG KEY. AT CHANNEL TWO IT'S OUT GOING FOR CUDA'S. I'VE NEVER SEEN A AMBER JACK CAUGHT ON LONG KEY.
