I'll say it again "on years like this you never know what to expect but one thing is for sure EXPECT THE BIG DAWGS" !! :P :P :o
Jd Fagan has benn once again spooled to the knot on his trusty old 9/0 .I know Jd has limited resources to upgrade all at once but If i were him I would swap the 9/0 and install the 14/0 he just bought ,,,take that 9/0 and save it for big Grouper fishin. He got smoked at another spot again fishing in the keys all by himself while using a small chunk bait right at the peak of the high tide. The shark had a slow steady roll when it picked the bait and when Jd Fagan set the hook the shark slowly but with compleat authority worked all the line off the reel as the angler sat on the rod and bent it in extreme form there was no stopping the animal at the end of the line.
TIME TO GET THAT 14 OUT THERE!!

HERE'S HIS REPORT OF HIS PREVIOUS THRASHING LESS THEN A MONTH AGO.

Stripped out in 5 minutes on the 9/0, he got caught in the lobster trap about 300 yards out.

I know how he feels after seeing my buddy David aka ineedabonita get spooled on his 12/0 this year using half a 40lb cuda for bait that got swallowed by a monster hammer.

I wonder what it was?? we would have knew if the 14 was tied on those leaders. I have caught 9' bulls that pulled 400yds of some serious drag on the ole 16. I also watched a 6/0w get striped on pcola bay bridge and the next night i caught the guys fish with leader still in his mouth. 8'3" bull. Some fight some dont. Ya never know. JD, take that heavy ole 14/0 and fish with it. Put the breaks on the sucker.
