Cold front on Channel 5 and Tom's Harbour bridge
Fished with Luis Iglesias from 10:30 am to 7 pm and had one blacknose shark maybe 25 lbs on my spinner snapper rod but it bit thru my mono leader.Had no shark hits on the fresh ray we used for bait at neither bridge-Channel 5 in the morning and Tom's harbour at night. The cold snap affected the regular bottom fishing as well. Can't say i like fishing channel 5 much,i would of chosen a different bridge but sometimes you got to go with your buddies idea even if you disagree.Today we had a FWC officer who was cocky and rifled thru our equipment as we chased the blacknose shark down the bridge,,,,,she was uninformed, rude and unethical.Every time i've had my cooler searched they always ask"do you mind if i look in your cooler"but this newcock just went right in without even asking. We've been fishing these bridges for 30 plus years and know the laws but these rookie officers should be trained in handling the fisherman with respect and decency.I almost called Fwc headquarters to file a complaint instead i let it slide cus i figure she might learn quick enough when she encounters a few drunk fisherman.
