Where are the corvinas, surf perch, guitarfish and round stingrays?

How did you catch the white seabass, on your shark rig?
And is your hook point in the middle of the mackerel?
Ever miss a hook set because of that?

the white seabass was caught on fresh dead squid while targeting bass. and there aren't any inshore monsters in california. besides whites. you might get a decent 7gill but its like a nurse.

santa monica bay is a great white nursery. sure, one week out of the year you might be able to catch an adult but the other 12 months its full of juveniles to 8ft. and they were clearly over 4ft.
