3-25-12 : Headed down to Boca Grande Sunday afternoon and met up with Will ( swat211 ).
After a dozen trips to Boca, with no real luck, I finally got something good. A 101” Lemon Shark.
Reel: Penn Senator 12/0
Line: 100 lb mono
Hook: 20/0 circle
Rig: 8ft 400lb nylon coated cable; 15’ 600 lb mono topshot
Bait: Frozen Cow-nose Ray
Not too long after that the waves & current picked back up and all the lines where washed ashore. Packed up and called it an early night.
Way to go Mike and Will .The bulls and hammers gotta be there real soon.

Ok am i confused on the the fwc laws cuz arent all yhe protective species not allowed to come out of the water aka "land them" am i wrong? Cuz i mean we all need tp make sure we follow the laws so no one can scrutinize what we do

Not sure about that??? Probably so, since half of the stuff i do is illegal.
there was a constant stream of waves hitting the shark. but either way I better study up on the laws, regardless.

I have a similar dilemma lol, About bringing the sharks up, the laws should be revised soon for the realization that dehooking a shark in brutal surf is not a great idea.
Just an average fisherman.

Oh i agree mark i just dont want anyone havin fwc at their door or to jave bad articles bout em like u got even tho u did nothing wrong i just wsnt to make sure we can keep dping wat we love and so on thru the younger generations
