Blacktips 1/16/11
will, in the tourney they said 13' even but all of blackbart said it was 13' 2" i think cause the tape wasn't long enough, either way it's a monster hammer. just got home from the beach, had troy and his fiance out there along with a buddy from work and this kid he knows, troy ended up getting two and my buddy's friend go one that was a pretty big tip, had to have been at least 100lbs on a stradic 6000. I had one fish I missed and another break the rig off while it was in the spike while leadering a fish. It was pretty slow though, most likely cause of the full moon.
Sounds like a fun night. I remember them days where all I did was casted out baits and would catch more sharks than I do kayakin baits. Nick, if you want some advice I say screw the AP classes. They are a waste of time. You can spend hours and hours doing homework and studying and then take the AP test and fail it. So no college credit. Plus, they are designed to be like "college classes" but they ain't at all. I took one and after that started just doin college. I'm takin 17 credits at the moment and its all free. By the time I have my doctorite in 6 years I'll be over $250,000 in debt; starting early eliminates about $40,000 of that debt if you take it seriously. Look into a program at your local community/state college called the Collegiate High School Program for Juniors and Seniors (you will have more of a life there and time to kill than at your current HS, I guarantee it). I will have my AA (60 semester hrs.) in May from the college I'm at before I graduate HS in June. Consider yourself lucky that you live on the coast so you can fish durin your down time. Make sure you fish every chance you get until you graduate cus' those opportunities won't exist later on. Take advantage of your youth, but take your future seriously. Good luck
