Brace yourselves, this is my most extensive post ever and NOT everyone can handle it, because this is how my mind has been working lately, get ready to experience a great trip vicariously!

I've been busy and under a lot of pressure this last month and I have a good report for you guys that have been waiting to see some more from me.

All of the following pictures are from my camera and are basically shots from how I saw the BHC.

This Tournament I did okay; I landed 5 sharks (2 lemons and 3 blacktips) all properly measured and released.

A lot of those here that know me know that I am a sporty fishermen and I want a challenge. I'm sponsored by penfishingrods.com because a 2lb class rod makes any fish fun and when it comes to the sharks I fish light as well or try from a hard platform like a bridge. I fished hard and kept my rods baited the entire tournament. I knew I could only fish weekends so I made the best of my time and had more fun than stress from it all.

Lucked turned out for me because three of the four weekends that I fished the bite was on and good fish were caught. I tried hard for a big shark on my 80lb set up and although Kenny took that title, I caught my personal best lemon.

8ft 10in pregnant.
Enough reading, let the pictures talk now.
I FISHED:

MANY SPOTS

WITH MANY FRIENDS

HELPED MANY PEOPLE & TEAMS

SAW MANY GREAT THINGS

Biggest non-shark

The house on haunted hill

Kat da kool cat.

Bonus Hidden mini report.
A little pictoral history from Duck Key and the keys in general.

A REEL red ribbon cutting

End of mini report.

AND CAUGHT MANY GREAT FISH

8lbs from the bridge, weighed.

One bag.

My last trip was the hardest on me as I fished hard and practically solo, becoming very fatigued physically and mentally after several days. I caught shark bait, eating fish, fun fish, and sharks mostly by myself and of course had NO help around when I hooked into the true monsters.

The mental aspect of fishing solo for such a long time has strange affects on you (both negative and positive) but to say the least it was then that I tried my hardest and with no distractions and landed nice fish but panicked slightly with HUGE sharks on the line and they got off.

Gaffing my own cudas… all 3 that I landed bottomed out my 25lb rapala scale with ease and I lost two cudas in the 40lb range (one on our custom tube lures :( ).

One bridge I got dropped off at with all of the stuff I made quick work putting bait out for sharks and snappers, landed a few snappers in the 2-3lb range.

Earlier that day I got a tarpon over 6ft straight up and down on 30lb test and was walking it down to get measured but it spit my bucktail out on a random head shake and I got a slightly straightened out hook back and I lost another tarpon over 6ft maybe 7 that ate a big, live blue runner.
Now for a hard luck story: I put down the head half of a cuda on the 12/0 and the tail on the 50w with 80lb test. The 80lb rod got hit on surface and ran under slowly… I figured a jewfish at first so I pulled the bait out of its mouth. This fish was persistent and kept coming back, I locked down and it spit the bait again. I was curious so I held the bait up on the surface of the water to see what was hitting it BIGGGGGGGGGGGG TARPON, one of the biggest I’ve ever seen trying hard to eat a 15lb chunk of cuda. This fish could have measured in at 8ft long no joke. It took the bait again, this time I set up on it and got burned under the bridge and bait spit out once more.
Hammer got back from partying and I told him all what happened so he set out some shark baits. This is the part where I left this post before I could finish it long ago so bare with me if this part has already been told, but Hammer lost a big shark, maybe a hammer and upon cranking up one aj head, a GIGANTIC barracuda was getting ready to eat the amberjack head, biggest, scariest thing I’ve ever seen in the ocean, this was a 60-70lb cuda, a true demon that had my jaw dropped to the floor. Being that big it was too smart for any of us to catch and just swam away leisurely and practically laughing at us. I think I’ll end this epically massive report here now that I got everybody’s mouths drooling. HAHA!

Just an average fisherman.

Thanks, Mark. I loved the pictorial journey! You put quite a few in there that I felt I should have recognized, but wasn't sure where they were located. The old church looked very interesting & I loved the little things that most people would ignore like the toad/frog, moth, etc. Glad to see you posting again. ;)
