Very nice report guys thank you for sharing it with us.Great pictures of my style long rod fighting that big lemon Luis. For me the long rod is the way to go ,,it keeps your line up higher on the surf without letting the surfwash put as much pressure on your clicker. It's heavier and you have to be fit to handle the heavier rods but i stay in the gym one way or another always trying to get the edge so when that monster comes along i won't be overcome with exhaustion.Luis tell your uncle Jose to stay tuned because i'm getting ready to post some old school pics and stories of him and Rene,,,i hope he remembers them.My life work is to keep alive our history and tell our stories with the same passion that Rene de Dios taught us to fish. Going to bed now after a night out with the wife.....seeya!!

Thanks Will. Yeah I completley agree about the long rods. There are many reasons why I like them, but then again I was brought up with this style LOL. I told my uncle about the site a few weeks ago and he has been looking at it. He told me the other day that he really liked what you wrote about Rene. He occasionally runs into Jimbo and Lui in the keys when he is working down there. I'm sure he will enjoy the pics that you have.

Luis
