I joined up with Elwin, Shirley, and Ryan for 5 days of fishing. We had a great time and got into some good sharks. I had 11 sharks with a PB gigantor bull of 8'8 and a PB lemon of 9' which was a PB on length of any shark for me also. Ryan had 13 sharks including a massive 8'10 bull. Big thanks to Elwin for inviting me to come down and join him again on the sand!

Excellent pictures. Are those gars common in salt water up there? and did they make good bait

Just an average fisherman.

not sure what kind of gar they are but we caught 3-4 of them on cut mullet. They are much thicker then the longnose gar I normally catch in freshwater lakes, and the mouths/bills were very thick and wide

we released all of them, it is the first time I caught gar there. I was tempted to try them but when we caught them we had plenty of bait

Maybe thy are alligator gar, I have no idea, but a big wide snout sounds like a gator gar, I have never heard of them in salt water before.

Also awesome report, looks like you had a blast.
