I deployed our baits just before sunset. My International 30TW 60lb mono 300yds out, then a short drop with the Trinadad 50, then a long drop with the third rod. We were just sitting around 2-3hrs later just hanging out when my rod slowly starts its curve towards Mexico. I let it take about 20-30yds before I couldnt take it anymore. Hit it hard with my best impression of the running man. 45 min later after the reel seat and reel clamps loosening up on me we beach it. Another big goliath! It was caught on the 30TW with 60lb mono and a cownose ray midsection. The second on that rod, in the same spot! Hopefully the weather is good enough to use the canoe again this weekend.

Second one on that rod on 60lb, love the DLX35H Star Rods! Still cant figure out why I keep catching Goliath in my shark spot?! Still no truly big shark caught there yet. Just BIG tippers and Goliath's. Gonna give it another shot this weekend! IF JERKS ON BOATS DONT CAPSIZE MY CANOE! They flew by while I was 400yds or so out, I took some water but didnt quite sink.

Just an average fisherman.
I rarely take out anything bigger. Have a 12/0 with 200lb braid on it but the rod is a crotchbuster and it weighs a ton. Still cant figure out how you guys manuver a 14/0 or 16/0 around?! It always wants to turn upsidedown on me.
