Take note everyone - if you want to continue shark fishing in the years to come THIS is the type of report we ALL need to try and put out to share our adventures. Regardless of how many or how big you catch - these are the types of guys that are the good guys in this sport and should be the role models for everyone out there. They fish hard, catch nice fish, are respectful to the fish they catch and the areas they fish, and present themselves as stewards of the sport itself. Jon and Doug, fantastic job guys - im proud of both of you and want to thank you for your contributions to the sport and the example that you set for everyone around you. Fantastic job!!

Scout

Ditto.Solo doubles and Now a header triple on the beach ,,brings back memories of Mike Palmers and Zac Meyer's double Monster Bulls on Jensen beach.Doug and John are certainly some of the best LBSF anywhere and the proof is in there Effectiveness,Respect of Themselves, the Fishery and the Sport itself. Doug's Simplicity and concise writing style makes this report a hard one to top in 2012.

Yeah its a pretty good place for them in the winter as long as it isn't too cold. Hopefully they will stick around until the other species start coming back in. Sheepshead and Jacks worked good.

Thanks for the words from everyone..it is much appreciated. Obviously not going to give away the beach on a public forum but anyone can get out there and catch em if they look for certain things.. The beach we were at had whitebait and clear water. If you get out there on a low tide look for dorsal fins cruising the sandbar. It's why scientists named them Carcharhinus plumbeus, or "sandbar" sharks after all ;)

Very cool Doug! I need to make a trip over there someday and get a sandbar. I haven't got one yet.

Awesome pictures and writeup. To me catching sea trout is a lot like freshwater bass fishing, and it sure can be fun on light tackle in great weather.
