went shark fishing in the backbays at a local bridge. rays were there, so caleb shot a cownose with his bowreel (best investment for shark fishing). so i cut a wing of and chucked it off the bridge a few hours later the 6/0 goes out slow, i set it and its a decent fight at first, then quickly slows down immediately i know its a lemon. we grab leader and try and get it to the shallows. as i begin to wade out to grab it the hook pulls. o well it feels good to catcha shark after so long.
a little warning for those of u that like to pack your reels to the bars, while fighting this shark the line rubbed the bars making it impossible to reel so i had to engage the reel into free spool and let it swim off a little ways. in the heat of battle leveling your line out perfectly isnt always easy especially with an excessive amount of line and when its dark.

Sounds like a productive trip. More details on the 14/0 being spooled please! Oh and as for levelwinding, I spool all my own reels for this very reason. I can levelwind anyreel in the dark and be as close to perfect as possible. The heavier the mono the easier to screw up though.
