Awesome time fishing with Team True Blue

We got word from Joey Polk that Team True Blue was coming down south to fish Skyway and the Florida Keys. They ended up with 4 big jewfish, a tarpon, a kingfish, and a mackerel at Skyway. They arrived in the Keys a day earlier than us and caught an 8ft lemon at Long Key. We arrived the next day in the late afternoon at Long Key to be greeted by Joey, Will Spud Smith, and Kenny. The tide was slowing and Jonathan Wosar set out two snapper rods but had to go down the bridge; sure enough, both rods went off at the same time, Kenny had a tarpon on the jigmaster and Mark had a big grouper on the baitrunner 4500, but upon bringing it over we discovered that it was a decent sized jewfish and an excellent catch on medium spinning gear.

The next morning we got up and started getting ready to catch fresh shark bait, it wasn't long before True Blue caught on to our techniques and Spud landed the first cuda of the day. Before long, plenty of shark bait was caught.

As the tide switched, we headed over to Seven Mile to fish the incoming tide... there was a school of blacktips, Kim caught one.

I caught another one right as the sun went down. Later that night, Adam Goldstien, his wife, and kid met up with us and he caught a lemon shark over 7ft. We should have stayed at Long Key! True Blue got a stout 8ft 3in bull and 2 more lemons that same night. The next night after we left, Adam lost a big shark at Long Key, possibly a big bull or hammer.

All and all, it was a good time fishing with Team True Blue and we can't wait to do it again!
