Awesome summer trips and more all in ONE post.
This summer started out really slow but towards the end all the fish started showing up to be caught, I expect an action packed fall, mullets, pilchards, and minnows are already flooding into areas with big fish chasing them and sharks not too far behind.
The first set of pictures is a solo trip by JD Hammer to a spot he has never tried before (might I add before this trip there wasn't a decent shark caught on the east coast in almost a month.)
new spot

this spot screams luxury; a lifeguard stand, shelter, shower, and bathroom 24/7

everything was set and ready to go

bait going off everywhere

feisty little blacktip, super fat

another nice tipper

next trip was to juno
millions and millions and millions of snook, so many snook that when dolphin terrorized them towards shore i snagged one in the side with a bottom rigging accidentally

jd fagan, hammer, and I tried the same spot the next night only to find little nibbler sharks and a once in a lifetime catch that is on jd fagans camera...

many times we ended up kicked off the pier on lightening watch...

rain don't stop jimmy

Hammer's room lol...
in this corner we have: rods

in this corner we have: rods...

and in the closet we have... you guessed it: rods!

this trip JD had fun hooking bonitas and letting everyone reel them in lol

jonathan

tuppens is pretty good
next trip was jimmy dean and jonathan

boni's look familiar? lol

no luck...

next trip was boynton inlet

slow night

dont have a clue where this is; maybe west coast?

venice pier with jd and jd

a monster was lurking that night; either big bull or tiger!

no clue on this one either

jupiter inlet before the storm

x-rap is hammers new favorite mullet run lure

juno is just as bad

off the end of the pier

monster waves great pics

then last night was slow as usual

also an amazing story that day at juno hammer had an x-rap on and a tripple-tail passed by the pier out of reach, a second one passed by jd was ready, the fish was hooked in the mouth and on the side; he attempted to snag it and it turned and hit the plug, ten pounder, hooks pulled straight up and down ![]()
Just an average fisherman.
Great report and pics!!!!! Those are some Nice Snooks and Bonito's!!!! Damn looks like a nice Shark took that Ray's Wing. Weird he didn't come back to finish the Ray off. Before the two JD's went to Venice we hooked up and got skunked at Big Carlos Pass. The only pic of that night is below. Still a fun night especially listening to Hammer's old stories.

Mark thanks for posting. I had a great time fishing all these spots looking for shark. I have not had a good solid hit this month. I HAD THE BEST BAIT YOU COULD CATCH AND USE FOR SHARK ALL MONTH...????????? I also fished many diffrent spots.
.Im going back to the keys where I have the best luck.

JD HAMMER HAS DEVELOPED A VERY GOOD EYE FOR THE AWESOME SHOTS TAKEN AT THE RIGHT MOMENT,,,CONGRATULATIONS ON SOME INCREDIBLE WAVE PICS. THANK GOD THAT HURRICANE STAYED WELL OFFSHORE OR THE PIERS WOULD BE IN DEEP TROUBLE FOR YEARS TO COME AT A TIME WHEN LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES ARE HURTING FOR FUNDS
