I had a choice for my my birthday go out to dinner or
go fish the beach; well naturally the choice was easy (don't
tell my wife)the sharks won out.Using the last whole bonita
left in the freezer from last week i got my last present of the day.
Yakked my bait out far (450 yards) on my 16/0 at a beach with less reef then the typical beach we fish down here so as to not get stuck on bottom
and it paid off.The male lemon shark was 8ft with 39inch girth.
We got one other hit but it spit the bait,our baits were being dragged in with the rough surf we were home by 1:30 am.We picked up more fresh bait today so we're ready for the weekend.TIP= the biggest sharks right now are down in the keys but the challenge is landing one from a bridge.
