does anyone know a spot in fort myers area that there are nice sized rays?? i cant seem to find any rays bigger than 1-2 pounds
fort myers beach pier at night in the shallows you will see them swim in the light rig 20 lb leader to 1/0 owner cirl hook with a lil chunk of smelly squid.
Buy a pack of squid, dice em up, chuck them on some flats and await a shot with your bow.
Big Carlos Pass. They are there. Try the incoming tide best visibility but you can get them on either tide. Be patient. Sometimes it takes a while but they will eventually come by. When they do you can get a few really quick. Take a bridge gaff with you. I have also caught them right on FT. Myers Beach although I find it harder to snag them from the beach than I do from the bridge even though they are closer to you on the beach. I think it's the angle. Good luck.
