Looks like the fish are finaly showing up. Got to the beach yesterday and was watching some pelicans dive bomming a school of menhaden about 2 mi down the beach. Joey was running late, so when he got there Monica and me went down to the action. I immidiately snatched a bait and Monica was on. She caught 3 reds, a 40' , 27' , 24'. so we have two fresh big baits. We had to let the bigun go. She also caught 12 blue fish around 5 lbs or so while i kept her supplied with bait. We decided to go back to the shark reels just befor dark. we got back and joey had missed a good fish on my pole. Not long his pole gets a run he sets and gets it almost in and the hook comes loose. 38degrees and i paddle a fresh blue fish on joeys 16 and Monicas 9. Joesy set about 15 min got a run got tail whiped. Ha Ha poor joey. My pole (black fin tuna1/2 wired on) gets a run I set and nothing. 10 min the 14 with a sting ray boogies. Before Joey sets it spits. 15mins later back at my stuff. I put it to it and drag it in. 6'8" tiger. Taged and released. After that the reels went silent. Look out Shannon the year aint over yet.

Heres a pic of that big red fish Monica caught and released. Hated to let it swim with out a shark hook. oh well it ant worth the law and the hassel they would give me. Should have seen all the perfict bite marks the little tiger left on the rays we had out. The little tigers are hard to get hooked cause they swim toward ya alot. Why do they cut stuf up when they can just eat it?

We dont mind the cold too much. I cut the top out of a keg and we burn ole lightard knots and stumps. We also have those extreme cold weather sleeping bags, and a couple umbrellas to block the wind. All the whimps stay at home in the winter. We also fish dureing the day and come home at mid night. Sunday we had 6 people walk by all day from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Some winters are worth fishing but this winter has been slow. Have a Merry christmas Hammer and i hope ya catch a bigun for the new year.

the beach is definitely the coldest place in florida lol!
We fished yesterday and last night untill 3:00am this morning(28dec-29dec). It was 25 when we got home. Fair night though, a small tiger messed with us all night. The bite marks say probaly 8' or so. Sean hooked it on the 9/0 and broke it off being used to the big stuff or maybe a tail whip/tangle. after that no more runs. It gave us 2 good chances. May be we will get our leader back next trip.
