anna maria city pier Shark Fishing w pics

9/22 me and a few sharkers went to the city pier started around 430. caught a ton of jacks and macs for bait along with mullet. during the bait frenzy we watched a 6 ft hammer feed on the mac and jacks so quickly started to get bait in the water. after the first bait hit and sunk down to rest it wasnt 15 min shark on this happened for about hr and half we manage to land and release 4 hammers from 4-6 ft and one blacktip at 3.5 which i put out on the 9/0. we missed about 4 run hooked up too 3 others but hooks pulled. back to the 9/0 though i slit the black tip and let him swim out 150 yds hoping for the mommy to come threw. after soaking for around 3 hrs i got bored and started catching flounder and mangos. why we were catching them i heard something buzzing and remem my 9/0 was out running over i picked up the rod to let it run after a 20 sec run flipped it shut and the damn thing stopped.....so i put it back down and guess what nun happen rest of the night so called it around 1 ish sad end to the night hoping to get the big one but ole well shit happens.....reeled in the black tip had a bite mark in him u could see where the teeth were prob around 8-9 fter
