Me ,The Legend JD Hammer, Mark, and Adam, head out from Miami to 7 mile bridge to snapper fish we caught a few little snappers none were keepers I hooked a cuda on my Newell and then we started playing with this ray that was swimming by we snagged it and used it on the beach for shark bait we talked about going to old wooden to fish the of the out-going tide but we decided to go on and go to key west to kill the we had 6 hours to kill we left key west and head up to long key for more shark bait for the beach so we get to long key and we walk out the wind was blowing pretty good when we got there the water was clear we walk out to the moon fish hole start catching moon fish then we start walking the moonfish to catch cudas we caught 5 cudas but the strange thing happen to me as I was letting a cuda chow down on a moon fish a black tip came up and hit what was left of the moonfish strange I never would have thought that black tips would him moonfish so we were packing up leaving to go to the beach I’m walking another moonfish down to the truck I see two black tips scooping out my moon fish then one grabs the moon fish and I let him eat then I set the hook on him and I’m use a 1/0 owner hook and as the tipper takes off after the hook set I tighten up my drag on the Newell some and then to keep him out of the power pole I take off running to catch up to the tipper and tell the people down from me watch out I’m coming by I was hooked up with a shark and he was running south on me I need to catch up to him well I gain some line back from him and fight him a little more the hook straighten out on me I looked at hammer and told him I enjoyed the fight and was glad the hook straighten out
All together it was a fun trip no sharks landed but on the beach we had a few runs the bite was off other than the helicopters (mosquitoes) that was eating on us.
