6 footer bull with tracking device. 2/26/11 PICS TONIGHT

well i met up with my freind achot who came down from miami to the keys for the flea market. and he also brought his gear and some bait, so later on around 5:30 we meet up on one of the keys bridges. we started off snapper fishing, and i end up getting a nice black grouper, next bait down a tarpon inhales my bait but no hookup. then achot puts a bait down hooks up to a nice tarpon that does some veary nice headshakes and spits hook. later on that night we start putting a few baits out. i ended up catching two nurses, and this bull. and achot hooked up but the hook pulled. THANKS FOR THE BAIT AND ALL THE HELP ACHOT.

Excellent report for the start of spring, a bull shark with a tracking device caught has been unheard of, until now, the limits are endless and so is the fishing in the Florida keys, not to mention that is a big snapper!

6 ft bull

What is that?

bolts on a shark?

it's a tracking device ( i notice the wire wrapped around it is cutting through his tail since he's growing.)

2-3lbs?

looks like jd is playing a guitar

Just an average fisherman.

Congratulations ,,,that's a first for anyone on this site.Maybe someone can research who placed the satelite tag and contact them for information.I'm sure they will be interested in talking to you.I'm thinking maybe one of Mote's tag (Dr Robert Heuter)or possibly UM Rosentiel Marine Science, or even RJ Dunlap our tormenters at Matecumbe.

Nice Bull JD. Very cool about the tag. I wonder how long that tag has been on that Bull and where has that Shark been? Cool if someone can dig up that info.

that is amazing, to catch a shark that has a transmitter on it , that transmitter is just like the ones they put on those great white's on the program "Expedition Great White" on national geographic or Discovery channel
