Colby ;contact willy and ask advice because he arranges tournaments like no other, and hes fished hundreads,so he knows everything there is to know. Thats why the Hammer Challenge runs so smoothly. To my man in boynton i think i got 3 or 4 people that could use you as there 5th man, finding a team for you between all os us shouldnt be a problem. You can also recruit some buddies from the piers and etc, to our web site, and join with them. Jan is also fine!!!

We would be interested in entering such a tourney but a couple of points.

I dont see the need for boats, how do you get an accurate measurement lengthwise on a shark while in a boat? That seems like a lot of work to get an accurate measurement of a shark with it on the side of a boat.

More then one angler can handle the rod during the fight? I really like the one person only per fight on each shark.

BlackTips can be really really solid on most of the east coast in January so you might want to think about keeping the other sharks at the same points and reducing Tips to 100 a piece at the most.

Just a couple thoughts.

i agreed with junochris no boats a lots of us dont have boats to go out to shark fish on the ocean but we can fish from the beach or bridges ,also i think we should do it on janaury, beacause is goin to be a little less wyndy thant februery and that is just my opinion ty :D :D

I think that we can reduce the scores for the blacktip and also get rid of the score period for the nurses. As far as boats.. I myself will not be using a boat but we allowed it for tournament and it did not really affect the results as our the two teams that used boats did not catch nearly as many sharks as us landbased fishermen they lined each shark up against theyre gunnel and had it marked with measurements for each foot. I'm down to take boats out of the rules though it was added in last year to get a couple more teams on the roster. As far as only one person on the rod, I'm ok with making it a rule but I'm not sure if theres anyway to prove it. Oh and shannon yea I'm gunna talk to Will about all this.

As big of a fan as I am of land based shark fishing, I vote leave boats in. I personally dont own a kayak to paddle baits out, therefore for the time being I just fish from my boat. I dont think it would change the results much, seeing as you all seem to outfish pretty much everyone ive seen fishing from a boat, lol. But Id love to try to get in on this tourney, even if I'm in Jacksonville.

march and april has other tourneys so we will just have to rough it and fish jan or feb. i agree with every pointer cris had,and also would limit nurse numbers to 10 per team, after that they no longer count. you dont want a tea to win with 80 gummers.

Alright so does Jan 8- Jan 15th sound good to everyone? I wana talk to a few people before we finalize rules. Also I think that we need to find somwhere sort of central to have our captains meetings because I feel as if our teams are somewhat spread out as far as where everyones fishing.
