The team decided we should go hit the sand to see what was around so we loaded up the gear and headed out when we got out there we put out Mullet and Rays my 12 got hit let it run for a min set up on it and a few minutes later the first Sand bar on the beach 6'6" quick tag and a few pics and back in the water for her. Then we set the 12 out again with a small southern ray about a hour later it gets hit again I let it run then set the hook then nothing so Shae takes the rod and reels it in so we could rebait all the rods when he found out the shark was still on so after about a 15 min fight the second Sand bar was on the beach 6'5" another quick tag and release and off she was paddled 6 baits back out but no other hits the rest of the trip but it was a great time. We cant wait for April to get here!!!!!
My 6'6" Sand Bar NO I was not angry in the pic just talking I guess

Shae's 6'5" Sand Bar

looks like you have a few tourist around you including a scared young lady next to her daddy, I definitely avoid day time sharking, good catch!

Nice work guys .A bit strange to see the Sandy's still here and it's almost April.I'm wondering how much longer they will be around because they usually leave when the water starts warming up.Might be that the extreme cold temps we had in January has affected the normal migration patterns.Looking forward to seeing more lemons, bulls, tigers and hammers from the west coast teams real soon. What's the water tempature over there now?

Thanks everyone. The water temp was around 72 on Sat. I was suprised when we tagged and released both sharks that everyone around us was clapping and glad to see the sharks released and it was done for research. No one was suprised to see there were sharks in the water we usually get the famous comment " There are sharks out there"
Pantyhosesharker the girl was not scared because of the shark in general but because it was thrashing around just before the picture but I understand where you are coming from, that is actually the first time we started shark fishing that early in the day .

Beach water temps in N/WFL is low. 62. I have not got a run the last 6 times i'v fished. Fish all night every time. I think it's all the fresh water that has it slowed down up here. Hope it gets better for the BHC. Nice sand bars.
