2 bulls and a lemon -It's on
Sorry about the late report the kids keep on messing up the computer with the limewire downloads .
An 8 foot 3 and half inch bull ,a 7 foot 8 ich bull and a 7 foot lemom.JD never fails to amaze me just when we thought the cold front had shut us down JD pulls a rabbit out of the hat.
My son Danny and I met up with Jd ,Sollimon and Jd's son Jimmy on 7 miler monday night but the old timer had allready hit one of the nearby bridges and harvested fresh cudas for the nights fishing..We were given chunks of fresh caught cuda to entice the toothy ones but it was Jimmy who hooked up on the outgoing tide in between the two bridges. Shortly after we arrived Jimmy Dean A true son of his father he masterfully worked the hard fighting and charging stud bull shark to submission after skillfully running left and right to negotiate the female bull out of the pilings of the bridge 50 yards in front of us.The shark was quickly manuvered to the end of the bridge for some quick pics, tagged and released. That night the cold front started blowing and the shark bite pretty much shut down.Next day i cooked breakfast for the guys early and by the afternoon JD was getting antsy for some action and decided to go bridge hopping in search of the elusive cold front sharks elsewhere. My son and I were staying put to wait for the front to finish passing thru and to fish the incoming tide BIG Mistake I should of followed the old bird dogs instincts and gone with them. They end up on Long key bridge Tuesday afternoon with two big cudas the biggst 23 pounds and 4 jack crevalles to about 12 lbs.Just what they needed to fish a nearby beach and get there dose of shark action.By now me and my son have to leave but we drop in on JD and company just in time to see Jimmy lose a shark that was swimming fast with his bait.Within a few hours after we left all the baits were wiped out Jimbo ends up catching a 8 ft 3 inch bull and a 7 ft lemon by Sollimon.Just shows you gotta move around and travel light something i have to learn from watching JD Hammer perfect his system of keys bridge hopping ,,,,,,maybe if i fish 10 more years non-stop next to JD i will learn all his little secrets. The keys big shark season has begun officially. Congratulations guys awesome trip.
