I fished 15 hours yesterday, there are a lot of mullet out there and a lot of small baitfish like threadfins and pilchards and that is pretty much it. I caught a lot of snook but I guess it is illegal to post pictures of those, and its a good thing I haven't seen any tarpon the last 3 times out, guess you have to kill it to take a legal picture if you catch one. I parked my car at a McDonalds last night and got a parking ticket..wasn't happy about that it was about a mile walk carrying a 12/0 with a heavy 8 ft bridge rod along with 5 other rods. It has been tough to get a nice big bait but luckily yesterday I was able to get a nice 2 n a half ft blacktip to run out on my 12/0..after that I saw a big lemon shark cruising 15 ft off the beach right before sunset so I rigged a live mullet up to my avet lx and casted it in front of where I saw it heading..it ended up eating a threadfin I had out there on a spinning rod and that didn't turn out so good..time to respool that. The blacktip got hit on my 12/0 right before sunset, and then it dropped the bait I felt no weight reeled it in and all that was left was a 6 inch piece. So all I had left was frozen garbage to fish with. Later on I saw a guy walking down the beach with a bright light and he was telling me about all the rays he saw right up against the shoreline so I started fishing for one and walking down the beach throwing my cast net..eventually I got a 30-40# ray that kicked my butt on 12 lb spin gear and I ran it out whole on my 12/0. It sat out there for quite a while untouched along with the frozen trash I had out on my tld25. Around 4am I started to pack up and right as I was reeling in my other shark rod my 12/0 got hit and I let it eat for a while and as soon as I turned the star drag half an inch with hardly any drag the fish darted in..when I reeled in the slack it was gone but my bait was still there so I waited and eventually got this lemon shark about an hour later then called it a night. I am now using a different file sharing site since it appears that my photobucket account has been hacked into, hmmmmm....
