11/25-26 Offshore sharking

Friday morning my friend Scot and I took an adventure off shore. Seeing that he isn't as familiar with the sport such as we are i was helping out and had my mind set on putting him on some nasty critters. Now don't get me wrong, Scot has potential in sharking and his first shark was a 9 1/2 foot tiger with me but he brought a contraption from Wallmart that he wanted to try. After a couple minutes of asking him to reconsider i said screw it and grabbed a live mullet hooked it in the face and threw it off the boat. Withing 15 minutes the thing starts ripping out line and we see a 6-7ft spinner start flying out of the water and the thing starts heading our way (now this may have been the Forest Gump of sharks but the stupid thing spun into the side of our boat!) and then his Setup snapped at the 4th eye. As the day progressed we pulled up 6 or 7 small (under 6ft) sharks and then the sun went down...That's when things got Real..Real interesting! We had three reels out, an Avet 80w with a live 20lb ray, 50TRX with a half of a king fish and an MXL with a mullet. As i was staring at the faint sight of land Scot yells DAN LOOK AT THAT THING!!! so i almost gaff myself getting up and to see a nice 7-8 foot bull that was fat as hell! i reel in my TRX and start throwing the king in front of his nose. He looks at it, smells it AND BITES IT! i set hook and gave the rod to Scot, he slides it into the harness and said wahoo!!! 5 minutes later its by the side of the boat we get out pictures and cut the hook. Over the night we got some other decent sized sharks but nothing compared to that bull, i estimate it at around 350 but i may be off. In my personal opinion my buddy scot is the best good luck charm and i know who isfishing with me on the BHC
