I hooked something nice but my hooks failed 
way too short to make 5ft.

The first shark is not a blacktip. It looks to be a blacknose (I may be wrong).
I love using rainbows for bait! That is some awesome bait there!

You're right, that's a like a massive blacknose, brownnose or sharpnose shark (they all look so similar). But that shark sure thought it was a blacktip lol
