Joey Polk's 12'9" Tiger

that was a sexy tiger. thats alot of good karma for releasing it. i prolly would have harvested it being a once in a life time catch in my area.

Joey and Earnie Polk Caught this one in 2010. She was 128" at the fork 12' 9" total length. She had a 77" girth. The formula said she was 950lbs. Alot of tigers close to the same length and girth has weighed over 1200lbs. The florida state IGFA tiger is 1068lbs. It was close. I say that is Team Tooth Farie's 1000lb er. It is soon to be a new ILSFA World Record. To me the ILSFA is the more important record any way because that is what we do, we are Land Based Shark Fishermen. This fish Really sets the bar high. It fought for about an hour or so. good fight. Tagged and released, and video taped. Joey fished long and hard right along side of me, and deserved every bit of the fish. Some times the best fish of all comes in the middle of a dry streak.

noticed u caught this in the panhandle area would u mind telling what town in the handle u caught that and what time of year was it caught thanx hammertime
