Capt Kevin Pagan caught this beast. After the old South Beach pier was torn down we missed our pier but were determined to continue our tradition of shark fishing the area.So we started to fish the beach because the pier was gone but one year a violent storm caused quite a bit of beach erosion that now had the waves lapping at the South Pointe park boardwalk which happened to be right next to the jetties of Goverment cut..Well instead of fishing on the beach we could now set up right on the boardwalk row or paddle our baits out and fish more comftarble on the wooden boardwalk. In those days no one fished the boardwalk more then Kevin Pagan. One night he was rewarded for his dedication with the huge 770 lb tiger shark.

here's the picture that appeared in th Miami Herald. Rene and Kevin side by side Rene would never miss the oppurtunity to get the media spot light.
