2009 a Record Membership year for the SFSC

We have reached a milestone of sorts this year in the SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK CLUB by having reached a total of 50 dues paid members in the shark club.Yesterday Shannon Bustamante (seaweed) signed up two shark fisherman from Miami who regularly fish Miami Beach ,,,,thanks Shannon.Never before in our history have we had 50 paid members.Three years ago we had 40 and that seemed like alot but 50 is unprecedentad for our organization.The likelihood of us reaching 50 members was anticipated by me when i decided to announce the $1500 Triple Crown prize for 2009.We have many new members that are in it to win the cash and to them we say "GO FOR IT"anything is possible if you know how to fish,know where to fish,and put in your time.We have several new members this year from the west coast that fish from naples to the St pete area .We also have new members from West Palm beach and north to Jacksonville.We want to thank all the new members in the club and we extend a welcome to each and every one of them.We hope that all the new members we have will appreciate the brotherhood and history that we represent in Florida land-based shark fishing and that they will make many new friends within the shark club ranks.We also hope that all the new members will become active in this messge board and contribute with there own stories and pictures as often as possible.The added competition for the $1500 triple Crown turns up the heat,and is welcomed but your active participation is even better and will assure that this forum continues to thrive.

The most active participants that get involved both in the field and then share with us there adventures on the forum are what makes any fishing website Great.Members of this website and the shark club who contribute on a regular basis have years of expierience,know how and there reports are some of the best by shark fisherman anywhere.Our aim is to continue to recruit top notch shark fisherman from around the state and the rest of the globe into our website and into our shark club if they so desire.We distinguish ourselves by our expierience and our long history in the sport and by the respect that we offer to all shark fisherman regardless of whether you choose to keep a shark or release a shark.Unlike other shark fishing websites where you get called a murderer if choose to keep a shark we respect each fisherman's freedom of choice to do as he pleases with his catch and won't tolerate bashing.We prefer that you release your catch but will not discriminate against you if you do otherwise.Conservation is the wave of the future but respect and love are eternal and the best of human qualities that we seek to spread among all the shark fisherman of the world.
