My name is Ken, I am 43 and I live in North Pinellas. I've fished my whole life but not for sharks specifically. Most of my saltwater fishing has been from boats, but I'm very interested to try catching some large sharks from shore. I'm in the process of getting geared up. I'd love to go fishing with anybody in my area who would like company or wants somebody to learn with. PM me.

Hello my name is Ray. I have been a member of the site for sometime now and figured i actually say something. I'm 30 years old and live in naples with my wife and 2 kids. I genrally got out for shark once to twice a month, anywhere from Marco Island to as far as Sanibel, but mostly the Bontia area. The gear i like to run is my trusted Penn 9/0, as with some other reels for feeling in the time between runs.

While browsing the internet i came across this site.
I have been shark fishing off and on for the last 12 years.
I generally shark fish at night from the land, I'll take the boat out some.

You can contact me at Iroczx3@yahoo.com

Caught this Lemon saturday night, if you would like a more detailed report just let me know.

Hey Guys,
I'm Pat from the panhandle and I'm 44 years old with a beautiful wife and a precious 10 year old daughter. I've been shark fishing for the past 6 years from both land and boat. My largest so far was a 9 ft. hammerhead. I've recently received a Penn 10/0 which used to belong to my grandfather in almost mint condition. I have just spooled it with 100# braid with 80# mono topshot and ready to hit the beach with it. I found this site while surfing the net and was hoping to find new tips and techniques.

Thanks and glad to be here!

Hey guys/gals, as requested:

1) Brendan
2) Key West, FL
3) @live.com">kelleherbrendan@live.com
4) Active
5) Sure
6) My favorite place is off a Navy base down here.
There is a dredge about 500yds long, 50yds across and about 20ft deep. I fish off one of the docks.
I usually catch Nurse, Bonnet-Head and the occasional grouper. However I recently discovered that the
game changes at night. "2100-2300" If interested I'll tell you all about it. :)
7) 23
8) 8ft, approx. 200lb Nurse Shark - A few miles outside Key West.
9) I've been researching online for information and you site kept popping up in my searches.
10) I live in South Florida.

11) I have a few questions to ask about pairing a rod to the reel I'm about to buy. "Daiwa Saltist 6500T"
I'm curious to see if anyone else in the club has used this reel and what rods they used with it.

Any ideas?
I'm going to be fishing of a dock in a dredge, targeting sharks in the 200-300lb range. Any ideas?

Hi gentlemen, my intrust old penn reel search brought me to your site. I am a light tackle boat angler, freshwater and enjoy beach fishing when we go on holiday.
I work and stay in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Never caught a big shark, our coastline and most of our rivier outlets to the sea has got nice shark in. And our great white shark are protected spiecy, soon as you see your hooked you have to cut the line.
Then I have 27 penn reels, with 16/0, 12/0, 10/0 been my trophy reels.
Also a hunter with rifle and bow. Really enjoy the site, very informative. Oneday I will go to the usa for some sharkfishing.
Cheers, Dirty Harry.
