Newbie Here
Hello All.
Bill here and new to the site. Not really into sharks anymore beucase of back surgey a number of years ago but at one time when I lived on Long Island I did a few trips. Mako was the target up there for it's table fare. Have seen plenty of blues and Threshers up there and once in while a Great White( years ago) off Montauk.
My so (19) is starting to get an interest in sharking, He has done it a few times off Sanibel Beaches at night and seemed to enjoy it and was excited when telling his story.
Hopefully I can help him by joining here.

Welcome to the site Bill! You came to the right place to meet a great bunch of people that eat, breathe & sleep sharks. If you do a little research here, you might find guys in your area that would have you drown some baits with them. My son (Dakota) & I are also on the west coast & if you make it over our way please give us a yell & maybe we can meet up. And you cant ask for a better combo/team when it come to Father & Son!!

Welcome aboard Capt Bill .Whether you fish for sharks or not we welcome everyone and look forward to your contributions ,knowledge ,history and fishing background.Great to have you here with us.

Welcome,
I just returned from Montauk and was wondering if you ever saw or heard of any sharks being caught from land? I'm looking to take another trip to the north with my shark rod.
