Our Instagram page is more up to date than the Facebook page. Most of our time spent fishing is in Northeast Florida. Finally about four years ago we started with the social media. We fished our first two tournaments late last year and had a blast. We caught nothing in those tournaments that was very impressive. We are looking to fish the Big Hammer Challenge in 2018 but can't find any posts about it. I've noticed that there we no tournaments results posted in 2014 or 2016. Has this tournament gone to odd number years only? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

New to this forum.
Im starting out in landbased shark fishing but also have a tinny.
I love all things outdoors hunting, fishing and being out in the bush plus more.
I have caught the main fish here in Victoria Australia.
Love to get squid, flatties, whiting and gummy sharks, yellow tail king fish has been the most fun Ive had and taste great.
And now to make the most of our new location along 90 mile beach theres meant to be all sorts of decent sharks.
So im keen to read all i can and learn from the forum and then ask some questions.
Cheers cam

Hey Everyone, My names Mat, Im from Canada. I'm new here and pretty new to shark fishing. Here's a little history on me.

3 Years ago my family took a trip to Myrtle beach. Leading up to that I joined a local fishing forum to ask for some ideas on fishing. Growing up I was always fascinated with sharks and always wanted to catch one, then I found out it can be done from the beach and that's when this addiction took off. I bought some decent sized spinning gear and went out and caught a couple small sharks. Spent a day with a local learning a bunch of tricks of the trade but the surf was really rough and we didn't catch anything.

Earlier this year we took a trip just to shark fish pawleys island, I bought a new bigger spinning setup (didn't have a kayak), the week before we left was awesome. lots of sharks being caught. when we got down there a cold front came in and we didn't have much luck. Had one big run but the line popped on about 20lbs of drag (assuming it hit a shell or something)

So, Now I'm completely hooked. I bought a Penn 12/0 Last week and had some upgrades done to it, I Booked a beach house in Avon NC for spring 2018 in hopes to participate in the BHC this forum Puts on. I have no intentions of winning (I would really just like to hook into a couple nice sharks), But as I do with car shows, I like to participate to help the scene and to be a part of it.

Anyways, That's my story, Been browsing this site for a while and I'm really enjoying it so far. I look forward to maybe meeting some of you on the beach and learning a thing or two.

Hi I am Cory a avid fishermen and second season lbsf. I have everything to safely catch and release and have caught and released about 30 over 5ft with a little over 8 being my biggest. A few of my buddies and I are in tampa this weekend and are going to shark fish. A few things if anyone gots a good mackerel Bonita tuna or cuda for bait get at me and also if anyone wants to fish with or gots any tips hit me up. 843 460 5058. I'm from charleston sc so if anyone wants to look out I will do the same if your in my parts and i can. Thanks and good luck this season.

Day one bean point 9 am to 7 pm we grinded really hard a for a few bites. The only shark to hook up got hung up. Windy white caps and heavy boat action. My buddy was just out of range of hearing me yell when dropping a bait and a speed boat started flying right toward the line. I go full mad man to try to get my buddies attention but nothing works so as the boat closes I decide to jerk the line to get his attention. It worked and the boat stopped right next to him and I yelled it was in the prop. They checked and then took off but it was still in the prop. Ended up respooling twice first the hung shark second the boat. The hardest I've put it in shark fishing with out a nibble we had 5 lines. All day nd had 3 hits. When leaving I heard the sharks only bite at night there. Where I'm from the sharks feed anytime but we don't have clear water.

After living in Hervey Bay Queensland, Australia I have become good mates with Vic and love listening to his many stories of catching Sharks!
My name is Caleb, I am a fairly new shark fisherman. I have lived most of my life in both Southern California and central Florida.. I have fished most of my life from offshore to inshore. I used to look down at shark fishermen, and treated sharks like very many fisherman like a "nuisance fish" I thought that if I paddled out any smelly piece of meat out past the breakers that, I would be able to catch all the Sharks I wanted. Boy was I wrong, I went to Sebastian inlet this last June and dropped a whole stingray in monster hole off South jetty with my international 50T. I had beefy tackle (or so I thought at the time) 500 meters of power pro 150 to 40 yards of 200 lb bill fisher. I got hit and instantly destroyed. I was in disbelief, and after a couple more monster hits, I realized that there are some fish that are unstoppable. I also realized that we have no idea, what's out there. I have been hooked ever since spending every weekend I can dropping monster sting rays into the surf, since then I have landed 1 lemon which was 9 foot to the fork. And a juvenile bull about 4 foot to fork I'm learning that shark fishing is extremely technical and hard. I'm stoked on the challenge and can't wait till we land a monster tiger or even a GW. Based on our unique location off cape canaveral, I feel we might have a chance at one during our colder months. We have beefed up a senator 9/0, fin nor 12/0 in addition to the international 50. . I would like to have an account, and network with other shark fisherman in order to further progress in land based catch and release shark fishing. I look forward to interacting and learning from other fellow shark fisherman on this site.
I fish pretty much every weekend from Ponce inlet to Sebastian inlet with a full spread anyone interested in collaborating with me pm for details thanks and happy sharking.

I am from Pennsylvania and have been doing small time shark fishing compared to the monsters you guys pull in down there. I am moving to Boca in January and am looking forward to doing some shark fishing when I'm not working. If anyone needs a member for their "team," I have lots of enthusiasm, gear, and am 6'5" and RIPPED if you need someone to pull in a big shark, lol.

I also like fly fishing and plan on doing some of that, as well as pier fishing and just surf fishing in general. Can't wait to get away from these cold winters and overhead surf! Anyways, hit me up!
