i am part of a trip with a group of college friends from Wisconsin, and we do a "do it yourself" saltwater fishing trip to the Keys every year. We use primarily canoes, and honestly a lot of our regular freshwater gear. I've caught lots of shark and some tarpon on my muskie gear and had a blast doing it! Just wanted to share the excitement on video! we have some truly awesome fights from truly awesome fish on the flats down there! This next years trip is coming soon- mid march! and it will be the 7th year i've driven down to fish the keys!

hope you enjoy!

thanks! yeah, i'll be running some of my muskie class gear for smaller mid size game down there, but i have a 6/0 senator for the big dogs and bridges now, and some other guys are running various bigger senators etc, and one guy has a 9/0. Not as big as some sharkers go, but we do most of our fishing from canoes where we make chase! we don't bridge fish tons, but when we do, we just throw out baits, we don't paddle them 400 yards and drop, so we don't need quite as much line.

i'll leaving in about two weeks, to spend two weeks in the keys! can't wait!
