1st place 602 lb Dusky 6th place 492 lb Dusky
2nd place 593 lb Dusky 7th place 488 lb Dusky
3rd place 580 lb Dusky 8th place 486 lb Hammerhead
4th place 537 lb Nurse What!! 9th place 480 lb Bull
5th place 502 lb Tiger
and a 800 to 1000 lb hammerhead was lost during the Tournament
Notice mention of a 751 lb Dusky,a 545 lb Dusky ,a 498 lb Dusky and a 251 lb sand Tiger,,,,back then it was common to catch big Dusky's over 500 lbs
Notice the mention of the South Beach Shark Club which was our club name in it's first year in 1983

All I would like to know is how these guys got those big(7-800lbs)duskys off the ocean floor without using a tow truck?I remember one time my shark fishing buddy caught one about 400+lbs and it was like bringing up an airplane from 65ft of water.Luckily enough afew club meeting before some guys told us about using the corkscrew method in getting one up from the bottom.It seemed to help us out at the time.......Also they used to run into them in the month of May on the west coast alot......Dave M

When Bought my 14/0 it came on an old blank rod that said "Bonnies Bait Bucket". I don't really no anything about it an i haven't fished it. ill post pics later.
