[Sticky] Best Rod Bend
I am hosting this gentlemen's contest to see who has a pic of their rod at the peak of snapping, shining perfectly brilliant on that big fish just pounding that rod. Also, does anyone have a blank that they would say has the best bend?
Here is me with a bull -harnell rod
Jim Dean the fishin machine about to break a rod... -lamiglass rod
JD Hammer with his harnell
I am 100% sure that some people on here have some amazing pics to share (william, shannon, arron, etc)
Just an average fisherman.
Leaned on the rail just above the foregrip, damn jewfish....
It was my ex-chick that bought me this rod, so I didn't give a damn if it broke, but I still have the rod in 1 piece but no fish

Best I got so far, I love the fight pics. and I'm always telling guys to try to get the whole rod bowed up. Can't wait to see some more shots of those 10' rods bowed over the bridge, awesome!!!!!!
Chris
Wtf is that last one?!?
If you mean my last one it looks a little strange because I have a beverage in my pocket that I was about to open when the reel got buzzed, priorities.....
Chris
My opinion Harnell's / Harrington's have the best bend to me. I haven't got to test out my Gator Glass 80 130 yet. Ill try and get some pictures of it bowed up ASAP.

Good advice is if you ever plan on working the rail to your advantage on a pier or on a bridge make sure you start by buying a thick walled blank. On the beach i prefer a lighter blank and sometimes shorter is ok if there is no sea weed in the surf.I have a white rod custom built by Gus the owner of Gator Glass when he was alive and the walls on it are over 1/4 inch thick- it's the one in Travis's post up top. Well I can sit three people on that rod and have someone hold the tip and another at the butt and it has a great bend BUT WILL NOT SNAP.Here are some pics of rod benders from my collection.
