Thank's so much! I taught myself through my 28 years of rodsmithing and its not something you can learn overnight,,ALOT of trial & error :o
Here's a few more samples of my inlays~ All Handcrafted rfrom Mother of Pearl & Abalone Shell

Here's perhaps my best creation, crafted the entire set of Aftco Super Heavy Duty w/ Balbearings in Paua Abalone and also the Roller Top and mounted them on a IGFA Unlimited Chair Rod

or maybe the Peacock Bass is the best?

or the mermaid?

OK I know you all will like the GREAT WHITE!

Or really could be the Sturgeon with countless inlays in the inlay itself 8-)

Its get crazy and its alot of work & time!

Finishing up the rod with 30 Shark Teeth inlays in the transitions today and will post pics this weekend

Thank you!! Would like to know just how do you hurt your gear? What happens to it?
Scratch the rods? Grip issues??
Scratches to rod finishes always happen throughout time and a simple reglassing brings the rods right back to life,to like new condition
Grip Issues,. I have several options and I would love to see anyone hurt them 8-)
I really dont know what else might happen to your rods unless you run em over with a truck or something??

Your Rods are absolutely Gorgeous! Works of Fishermens ART, Truly They just are fascinating to look at,
I feel like SandRay too tho I be so paranoid about scratching them, you know how Sand /Salt does a number on all your tackle!I love those Inlays ,they are the coolest .

Im sure they would hold up just fine to my abuse but I would still baby the hell outta them. Just out of fear of wrecking them. Likely worth more than my Jeep lol. My rods sometimes get stacked and tied together in a bundle to be lugged down the pier or down the beach, in the backs of pick ups or my jeep the rods are tied together, guides chip epoxy scratch other guides etc. Im sure they would take it but Id lose my mind trying to prevent it. Love the Ray skin grips by the way! Id love to wrap my grips like that. Are they "the grips" or wrapped around standard grips?

Go big Or go home! :)

ah scratches arnt nothing like I said before you get too many you send her in for a glassing and she comes back looking like new again..as far as the guides and the sand & salt,,dont use rollers if you fish from the beach,,you do not need them.or if you insist on rollers then we go to the best in Winthrop Excell and you dont worry out sand getting in behind those rollers..and always be sure to rinse down your rods after each trip,,and not with spray nozzle either, you want to use open hose end and flush off that salt ..volumn is far better than pressure in this case
I wax my rods as well, not that often, but when the water doesnt bead up anymore, you know its time,,waxed rods clean up soooo much easier also just like a boat will 8-)

I understand 100% but life is VERY SHORT and I think we all need to treat ourselves once in a while and we all should have atleast one secret weapon to pull out from the socks on those special occasions! I build on the best with the best for the best and I love what I do very much and I am by no means doing this to get rich..I keep my prices way down,,I hear people tell me they expected to pay ALOT more than the price I quote them. For instance take that 30 teeth rod I just finished up..how much do you think,,and consider the blank, guides, the Ostrich leather grips, the abalone and cost of all the teeth..then my time crafting it all,not to mention the time i spend consulting befor e we build, the wrapping of the rod so she arrives in perfect condition, the pictures I take, then the videos I make, then these posts in hopes of getting to build another someday in the future..
How much do you think???
How's $979.00 sound?? Pretty darn nice for all your getting with this rod..I really feel it's a easy $1500.00 rod as so much time is invested

Under $1000.00 depending on the blank & guides,grips...if you dont go with Ostrich you'll save a few hundred $$ with Eva foam..but keep in mind what eva foam does after a while,,Ostrich leather will outlast your rod and probally outlast your lifetime if kept nourished..same with the Crocodile leather and Stingray....if you rest your rods on concrete of bridges, rails ect I have something for that as well 8-)

That does make alot of sense ,flush, instead of blast with the "firehose", flush will get more out,; I wash, flush gear every time it's fished ,
Those prices are great for all your giving; and the way you put it is neat ;
You're out on "MonsterBeach" There's a huge Hammer reputed to weigh 1,800++ cruisin' the area ,
It's 2AM, the Tide 's going to turn, you unwrap the TigerTooth EXPRESS & get it &your custom 16/0 ready, you put the 25# Cownose on & yak it out , now you sit & wait; Can you take the pressure? Maybe , but you know the Tiger Tooth EXPRESS will not let you down when the MONSTER hits.........LOL

That pic of the Beach where your Lady is holding that Rod is just making me HomeSick ,it looks so much like it did so many times I walked in it casting.......
