Fishing this new moon on the east coast has been HOT!!! We been burning the candle at both ends fishing the last 6 nights out of 7 and the hard work has been paying off sometimes the frustration of fishing with a skeleton crew gets to me but I push forward to reach the MONSTER that awaits those willing to fish hard. It's difficult to coordinate different schedules among anglers in the same team so sometimes you end up fishing next to other teams on purpose so that you help each other out,,,,,BUT sometimes the competitive spirit gets in the way.Fighting a big fish by oneself or with a partner can be daunting when the shark can weight several hundred pounds and problems begin when the shark gets stuck on a sand bar or the single wireman can't budge the heavy mass of a big shark. We make do with what what we have but always push,,,push ,,,,,and push to fish more and more .Here in this site in this tournament we bring to you the meaning of hardcore land-based shark fishing ,a tough sport for hardy individuals .We don't pretend to make anyone believe this is easy insted we want every angler watching this competition unfold to understand that it takes time on the beach to make things happen and there is no substitute for that.

Team 'SHARK FEVER' angler William Fundora Hammer 9 ft 7 inch

I hooked this powerful shark by my lonesome self and started calling neighboring teams to assist but only one answered and came to my assistance .Eddy Espinosa(Cubaneddy) was the man on this night that made this catch possible .Although the pics are not perfect and the shark won't win any big shark categories it was a fight to make this catch hooked alone and released with the help of a good samaritan sharker.Everyone else was asleep or hooked up themselves so it all worked out in th eend Thanks Eddy!!

Just wanted to congratulate all the teams on their catches!! WoW!!! The tourney has had some GREAT catches!! Very Impressive!

Team Jurassic is still fishing and fishing as hard as we can between Work, school, softball etc....Don't get me wrong we have soaked a LOT of baits in some not so comfortable conditions with zero success. We will keep doing what we do and hopefully pull out some nice sharks soon :D

Fish Big and NEVER give up,
Good Luck Everybody!

FIRST WEEK APRIL 14th TO APRIL 20th 2012 BHC GRAPH

This graph only represents sharks POSTED by Teams during the First week(7 days) of competition not all sharks posted on this thread up to now.Sharks caught from April 21st to 27th will be represented in the second week's graph. If we left anything out please let us know.Nurse sharks are reported without size if posted that way by the angler or team member that posted because they only count for total not for size in any category.

PLEASE NOTE ANY CATCH MADE BY A JUNIOR ANGLER SHOULD BE INDICATED IN THE POST WITH THE ANGLERS NAME AND AGE.NON SHARK SPECIES SHOULD ONLY BE ENTERED WHEN CAUGHT WITH A SHARK BAIT.A KINGFISH CAUGHT ON A TROLLEY RIG OR A BIG COBIA CAUGHT ON A JIG DOES NOT CONSTITUTE 'A NON SHARK'.ALSO REMEMBER THIS IS A STRICLY CATCH AND RELEASE EVENT SO WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE SHARKS OR NON SHARKS ON TOP OF A PIER OR BRIDGE .A PIER OR BRIDGE CAUGHT SHARK OR FISH SHOULD BE PHOTOGRAPHED AFTER BEING BEACHED IF YOU WANT TO QUALIFY FOR BIGGEST IN ANY CATEGORY .WE WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SHARK THAT HAS BEEN GAFFED OR INTENTIONALLY KILLED.
