Official 2012 Big Hammer Challenge Reports, Pics-Leaderboard
Great catches so far everyone.Already with less then two days of competition the biggest shark is 8 foot 8 inches and many bigger ones are still to be caught as the schools of Tarpon continue to increase in numbers the near shore waters, inlets and passes the bigger sharks will be in close pursuit with BiG Hammer Challenge Teams not far from them.Get ready for the appearance of big tigers on the east coast once the wind subsides Wednesday I will predict Tigers for the latter part of this week and then the blue water hammers of the gulfstream come close to the beaches for the right kind of anglers willing and ready for the fight.Good luck to all.
1)WHEN POSTING A REPORT FOR THE BHC TOURNAMENT PLEASE POST THE TEAMS NAME AND
2) THE INDIVIDUAL ANGLERS NAME MAKING THE CATCH IN EACH PICTURE
3)PLEASE POST THE SHARKS OVERALL LENGTH.
4)PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO HAVE YOUR SECRET ITEM SPRITE BOTTLE WITH SHOREBOUND ANGLERS ALLIANCE CARD TAPED TO IT AND THE BHC SPONSOR BANNER IN YOUR PICS.
5)PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN HANDLING SHARKS IN THE WATER

TAKE MANY QUICK PICTURES OF EACH SHARK AND THEN POST THE BEST ONES.MAKE SURE THE TAPE MEASURE IS CLEARLY VISIBLE IN ALL YOUR PICTURES SO WE CAN VERIFY SHARK OVERALL LENGTH.

Awsome post's and pictures!!
wheres the monster tiger im hearing about
We headed west to fish and hook up with Austin of Team Misfits because the weather on the east coast was horrendous winds blowing 20 mph gusting to 25 so we scooted west on the ole alligator alley to try our luck. The original plan was to head out to the keys bridges but with the outgoing tide over at 1 am on the first night that only gave us one hour to fish Long Key bridge so we held off til Saturday for our venture west where beautiful weather awaited us.Austin wanted to take us to Crocodile backwaters but Naahhhh I don't like spiders and snakes!!Give me open beaches where buffalo roam and monster sharks patrol the beaches we ended up not far from some old stomping grounds near a historic pier and spent the night with ghost like hits except for the one that hit fast like a train.
ready for King Kong the boys got the right weaponry
on the beach we hook up with two of Team Misfits members Austin and Scotty
Billi Centrone with an almost 8 foot range nurse
Matt catches a wiener Sharpnose smaller then the bait it ate
in the early morning our Team mascot "Snappy the T Head Rex" is up early, hungry and wanting some shark to BITE
After a lackluster night of shark fishing we headed north in search of possible monsters in a place known to hold many some reputed at 18 feet.We found gorgeous beaches ,pretty girls and flat seas but again the sharks were not cooperating with overly excited Monster Man.
post card perfect but not shark friendly on this day
thank God for the tarp as wishful Monster man dream of BIG finned critters
Snappy the T head Rex wants to eat the 14/0 but we ai'nt haviing it so we search for a fish lunch but instead find him a.........
crab sandwich which he licked but could not sink his teeth into

Is that TRIPLE wire???
PS if it is I think it's a possible snare for any reef spots. Zip tie it down? Just a suggestion.
Just an average fisherman.
To clear things up. the picture with the lemon were it looks like my hand may be in front of the sharks mouth, its actually on top of its head holding it down. I agree though always play it safe.
