ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man here we go again team dirty south shark hunter are ready cant wait to see the monsters everyone catchs. i take my hats off to everyone that fished the warm up tournament,rene de dios memorial and the big hammer challange those are hardcore sharkers and after this we going to hit up the next tournament cause we hardcore let it be known "south florida shark club" dont back down from any challange

Hammer #1 is Sally she is 12'9'' she likes long swims along the beach, loves to catch tarpon and hates fisherman that thing they can catch her.
Hammer #2 is Walter he is 14'2'' he likes to hunt, loves cow nose rays and hates 80 wide Avets on 10' Gator Glass Rods filled with 200 lb. Diamond Momoi Braid with a 30' leader and 2 16/0 Owner Super Mutu Circle hooks threaded threw a 20 lb cow nose ray.

I wonder how many times you are going to have to tie in to stop Walter .

We have only 4 fisherman and one is a female, however we know we will be hard to beat for atleast 4 categories(Biggest shark,most sharks from bridge,1st and second biggest shark female)

Most sharks will be hard to beat Cape Haze and the west palm teams, because you guys catch 15 sharks a day...

My goal is to win the 80 avet and atleast half of the other rods and reels

Looks like it's gonna be 17 teams as of April 1st,2010.Some teams have sent in there registration fees but they have not arrived yet while others are still compiling there team mates cash to send in.In either case we are proud to once again say that we have a good number of teams competing in the 2010 Big Hammer Challenge.The west coast has a strong contingency of teams competing for the top spots.

There is an evoluton in land-based shark fishing where teams from both coast of Florida are traveling to pursue the sharks no matter what side(east or west) they may be on ;something we at the South Florida Shark Club have been doing since the 70's.We're honored to be involved in spreading this sport to new areas of Florida and proud to say this tournament has the hardest working bunch of shark fisherman in the entire state.The reason I say this is because in the past teams from the best shark fishing waters in the state from Palm beach north to Sebastian have won many land-based shark tournaments without having to travel very far from there backyards--whereas the teams that compete in the Big Hammer Challenge usually travel far and away from home to fight for a win.When have you seen Team Black Bart or Team Rip the Lips or Team Land Pirates crew fishing the west coast or in the keys ,,,,,,NEVER!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not starting problems I'm simply stating the truth ,,,,we have the hardest working shark fisherman in the entire state and I personally congratulate all those that go the extra mile and work so hard to catch the big fish.We first started this tourney it was about catching the MONSTER HAMMERS and other Sharks and it'still about catching the biggest and the baddest.This year's teams have what it takes to break the next World Record.It's just a matter of time guys.Buckey Dennis did it and you guys can do it too.Believe in yourselves and anything is possible.

Even though some teams that competed in the past no longer compete ,my analysis says the teams competing NOW are stronger then those teams,go further,and are becoming better and better with each passing year.This new breed of land-based shark fisherman that goes the extra mile to find the sharks will be suprised by how far they can go in this sport and they deserve and have all my respect.Thank you all and Good luck to all.
