so the nite starts off like this go to diner some how piss my girl ex girl?....off come home twist 2 #19 leaders with 550 spros and 14/0 longshanked hook.
take off out to long boat with my dad to get some lady fish for bait and the water looks like pure mud. leave come home grab the shark rods and head to a bridge i norm get big lady fish on. get there and there is frickin 15ppl (counted) on my bridge...threw the mix i land 2 lady fish and pop 1 snook off leave there and head to desoto walk to "THE SPOT" and find out i forgot the balloons on my way back to the truck this guy catches a lady fish and i talk with him a min and get the fish from him and put out the 14 with 2 laedy fish on it. and i put out the 6 with 1 lady on it when i go to pop the 6 off the balloon the line to line knot that not I tied pops....so im dreadding the whole nite i have the 14 on free spool and the balloon is goin by its self i hear line rippin off the 14 i gab it let him eat and i have th 14 on dead lock put it in gear and do the runnin man on his ass boom hooked up go to the rail and he starts burnnin me on dead lock ...about 150yrds he pulls. i stop him and hes cuttin 2 the beach the the end so i run down to the end and i get him up and down. fat bull!!!! i have no rope no gaff nothin some lady gives me a lil bait bucket rope and and the winds blowin 2hard to get a head rope. so i start the walk 2 the beach from the end.a 1/4 of the way i have an idea i tie the rope to the allmighty #19 and we are good start walkin him and the tide has now changed an the fish is tryin to go under i get a longer rope and a bag tie the bag with air and tie it to the rope float the bag under and snag the bag on the other side of the pier. im on the other side of the rail and the fish jets all most pulling me in burns my hand and i stop himget on the other side of the rail and have him straight downcut the 14 off and start the walk again. get him 2 the beach get a tail rope on him and me along with 2 other men could not move this fish. i get my dad to b an anchor and we pull get this thing on the beach and is every bit of 300 if not bigger...

Love the story,sounds like you had a crazy night,but you beached that bad boy so it was all worth it.Will sets up with the running man,i have never liked that,feels like the rod is going to shoot out of my hands when i do that.Where do you live??

i learned the running man from 1 of the best jd hammer, and i will tell you this from the beach there is no better way!!! from the bridge not much space though. i like the float under the bridge trick!! thats a must for bridge fishing during the tide change!!!n excellent story my man,

Nice report Aaron!!Got any pics?That running man is something else ,,,,,if you hook a big hammer thats ripping out some serious yardage when you do the running man you get slung around and your shoulder joints get almost taken out of there sockets but it takes out the stretch and most definetly sets the hook.Hey Aaron sounds like you got a good spot for them fat bulls.Look forward to fishing with you again soon .See ya.

i know how that feels will i hit a bigg bull and he burnt my shoulder with the line. and when i hooked a hammer he spunn me hard and fast around bout took my shouldher off.but never feel it till after your done fightting the fish cuz the adrenalin
