went out with mullet and a skate. it was really windy at the top of the bridge. i knew this hurricane would make the fishing amazing too bad my rod never got hit. the tide was real slow all night just the way i like it. my friend jarrod went out with me and his tackle is completely unprepared for bridge fishing. short rods and light line..
so after an hour jarrods 9/0 gets hit with the skate. we prettty much watched the bait get hit, the line was moving around and getting tugged then finally eats it while it was under the bridge. jarrod sets hook and fights it straight up and down. things are looking good for us and we finally get it surfaced and its a huge lemon. but after seeing it it dove under and burned line. im telling jarrod to get his rodtip down and run the opposite way of where the shark is running. he holds it and the shark cant move but its cutting back and forth and eventually pops. i gave him some 130 lb mono to topshot his reels with . he drops a mullet and gets a nice jewfish shortly after.

he releases the jewfish and rigs up again. he puts down the 9/0 once again and surely enough its picked up by a big lemon and burns him under the bridge. after that we dont get anymore runs and jarrod has to be up early the next day so we leave.
